I'm Brenda Kuritzky and I am the owner and sole cook and bottle-washer at Brek Totes.
Brek Totes rose from my need to have a stylish, practical way to hold my things.
I’m an avid golfer and it drove me crazy that my must-haves – sunglasses, wallet, lip balm, cell phone, etc. – bounced around the front of the cart. I also wanted something that could hold a water bottle, snack, sweater and hair brush. And, I needed a bag that could withstand the wear and tear of being on the course. One more “and” – it needed to be washable.
The three bags I created – Mini, Medium and Large Totes—meet all those needs.
However, you don’t have to be a golfer to find a Brek Tote useful. Both designs have compartments and plenty of pockets to keep things organized and easy to find while you go about your day-to-day, travel, go to the gym, etc.
I personally craft each bag — from design through material selection, cutting, sewing and finishing — in Ossining, NY with frequent feline supervision.
"I bought the large tote over a year ago, and it was definitely worth the price! After a year of everyday use, there are no signs of wear, no rips in any of the pockets, the zippers glide smoothly, and no stitching is coming undone. The fabric is so sturdy and the tote is sewn together so well that it still looks new. I use mine as a regular pocket book since its very light to carry. Most importantly to me, there are a ton of pockets so I can find whatever I'm looking for very easily - nothing gets lost inside." Donna Zuna
"Thank you for my beautiful bag. It is so well crafted and your professional touch brings out the love it was made with. I love all the different compartments that are so functional and useful which makes me more organized. You cannot find better quality and workmanship for my liking. It sits perfect on my shoulder and you know how tall I am. So thank you again, and good luck in your new patterns and sizes. Absolutely love it." Helga Beyer
"I have three Brek Totes (so many great choices!) and I'm so pleased with the compliments I get when I'm 'out and about'. The sturdiness of the fabric, the fact they are washable, and the quality of all the handwork make them such a good value." Carolyn Edwards
